Front End Developer

Job Description

Brighttail is a growing B2B marketing agency looking for an experienced Front End Developer to develop performance-optimized, user-centric custom websites for high-tech and SaaS B2B businesses. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build uniquely designed websites with modern UI/UX design trends. You should be a detail-oriented developer with a passion for crafting great user experiences, and a good communicator who can work closely with our designers and marketers to deliver solid web deliverables.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Develop elegant, usable web pages and features on clients’ websites
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Strike a balance between functional and aesthetic design
  • Optimize code for maximum speed and scalability
  • Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, cross-browser compatible, and fully responsive across all viewport sizes
  • Troubleshoot errors emerging from websites and replace solutions when necessary
  • Work closely with marketers to implement marketing solutions or third-party APIs on websites
  • Perform periodic code refactoring and migration to new technologies on existing websites
  • Participate in scrums to contribute ideas from development perspective
  • Keep abreast of latest and emerging technologies

Skills You’ll Need to Bring

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as a web developer, UI developer, JavaScript expert or front-end engineer
  • Solid knowledge of HTML and CSS, working knowledge in PHP
  • Proficient with JavaScript and frameworks like React and jQuery
  • Knowledge of Gatsby and GraphQL will be a plus
  • Familiar with UI layouts, SASS, Bootstrap, and design systems
  • Working experience with WordPress and coding themes
  • Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image
  • Knowledge of basic SEO principles
  • A keen eye for design, attention to detail, and a great sense of aesthetics
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Thorough processes for QA, cross-browser compatibility, and optimization
  • Knowledge of browser troubleshooting and debugging practices and techniques
  • Strong interest in front-end programming and self-motivation to stay current on best practices in the field
