Senior SEO Specialist

Job Description

Brighttail is a growing B2B marketing agency looking for a passionate Senior SEO Specialist to join our world-class digital team. The ideal candidate is creative, results-driven, and possesses excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.

In this role, you will implement and monitor SEO campaigns across all digital networks for our portfolio of high-tech B2B clients. You should be a self-starter who is passionate about growing our clients’ businesses and your career.

What You’ll Achieve

  • Collaborate closely with Content Marketing Specialist and Performance Marketers to ensure alignment between SEO strategies, content development, and marketing efforts, while preventing keyword cannibalization and optimizing overall content performance.
  • Support the Director of SEO & Content in exploring and implementing AI tools and automation to enhance SEO processes, including keyword research, reporting, and content optimization.
  • Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and emerging tools.
  • Implement A/B testing to assess SEO changes and improve results and performances.
  • Review and analyze client sites for areas that can be improved and optimized
  • Perform monthly technical and on-page optimization activities such as canonical elements, schema, and meta-descriptions
  • Strategize, plan, and manage SEO campaigns, analyze important data and metrics, and prepare monthly reports on the client’s campaign performance
  • Implement outreach and link-building strategies/tactics to drive traffic growth.
  • Present findings and results to internal stakeholders and clients when required, including identifying potential solutions and pitching to clients independently
  • Conduct research on market competitors, and keywords to use in content assets
  • Create compelling on-page copy that will capture the attention of the target audience
  • Work with your team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies based on client goals
  • Stay up to date on both white hat and black hat SEO strategies to ensure that we operate within search engine guidelines
  • Guide and mentor SEO team new joiners or juniors to ensure they are productive in their role
  • Assist in streamlining SEO team processes and operations for cross-functional collaboration, establishing external partnerships and internal team framework & best practices.

Skills You’ll Need to Bring

  • Strong understanding of Google’s E-A-T and its impact on content strategy and SEO
  • At least 2-3 years of SEO experience with a demonstrated ability to guide and mentor a team
  • Experience with SEO reporting and client presentations
  • Experience working with SMBs in the B2B sphere and is passionate to help them grow
  • Understands content marketing
  • Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g. SemrushŮ« Screaming FrogŮ« Ahrefs) and web analytics tools (e.g. Google AnalyticsŮ« Google Search Console, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager)
  • Hands-on experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JS would be an added advantage
  • Great communication and organizational skills
  • Numerical aptitude and skillŮ« combined with an analytical mindset and creative outlook
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong attention to detail
  • A proactive, self-motivated team player who is committed to helping the company continue to grow and evolve
  • Knowledge of standard and current SEO best practices
  • BSc/BA in MarketingŮ« Business, Mass Communication or related field
  • (Great to have) Familiarity with app marketplaces (e.g., Atlassian Marketplace), including the understanding of ranking factors and conversion optimization for marketplace listings.
